Bachelor of Applied Management
Welcome to the pre-assessment survey for the Bachelor of Applied Management.
This survey will assess whether you have the knowledge and experience to benefit from for the Independent Learning Pathways (Assessment of Prior Learning) process, offered through Capable NZ. ILP is a service provided for individuals who have experience and existing knowledge in areas they have worked in, which can be measured against, and count towards formal academic qualifications.
In order to apply for ILP, you should have at least five years’ experience in a management role in a business, not-for-profit, community or public sector organisation, or you may have considerable experience in establishing your own business ventures. You should also have developed a broad range of management skills which we will ask you about shortly.
Valuable experience might be in any of the following areas:
· As a manager in a small organisation of up to 20 staff,
· As a manager of a department or division of a larger organisation,
· As an owner or operator of a small business, which employs staff.
The more experience you have had as manager the more likely it is you will benefit from our ILP process. Even if your experience is at the lower end of the scale you may be eligible for fast-tracking towards your qualification. If you have more learning to do we are able to offer a learning pathway based on your work place.
Complete the survey and your eligibility will be assessed in line with the set criteria. For each question, select the phrase or response which best represents your knowledge and experience. It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete the assessment.
Once you have completed the survey, you will get your result straight away.
If you are enquiring about the Business Excellence specialty, please indicate this on the final page of this survey (this is the page where your contact details are requested).
